BELSTAFF has been in business since 1924, and the wax cotton jacket is still the piece people ask for by name. Alongside it sits a modern textile programme for customers who want the name and today’s engineering.
There are few brands in the motorcycle trade that someone walks in and asks for without advice. BELSTAFF is one of them. The name does part of the work before the conversation starts.
The wax cotton line is why. It ages visibly, and that is the point — a jacket that looks better after five years than it did new does not get replaced, it gets handed on.
The brand also carries textile jackets, jeans, gloves and boots. A customer who wants the look but needs a membrane and protectors will find it there.
The range is compact and expensive. That makes it a brand for the front of the shop, not for the shelf space.
