Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data matters to us. We process your data solely on the basis of the applicable law (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021, Austrian Data Protection Act). This privacy policy sets out the main points of the data processing that takes place on this website.

Server logs

When you open this website, the hosting provider automatically records information that your browser transmits. As a rule this is: IP address, date and time of access, name and URL of the file retrieved, volume of data transferred, a message confirming successful retrieval, the browser used and its version, the operating system, and the page visited beforehand (referrer).

We cannot attribute this data to any particular person. It is not combined with other sources of data. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and free of technical faults (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The logs are deleted automatically after seven days, unless they are needed for longer in order to prevent or investigate a specific case of abuse.

Web hosting and technical administration

For the technical operation, maintenance and delivery of our website we use the services of an external administrator and of a hosting provider:

Purpose of the processing: the technical service provider handles the administration and maintenance of the website. The hosting itself — providing storage space and server capacity — is done by STRATO GmbH. In the course of this, server log files (including IP address, date, time and the page requested) are processed automatically in order to keep the website running securely and stably. The servers are located in Germany.

Legal basis: the processing is based on our legitimate interest in delivering our website securely, efficiently and free of technical faults (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Data processing agreement: we have concluded a data processing agreement with our technical service provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. It ensures that the provider processes visitors’ data strictly on our instructions, and that the high level of protection required by the GDPR is passed on to the sub-processor (STRATO GmbH) as well.

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — neither in the browser’s local storage nor in any other way. No analytics services, statistics tools, tracking pixels, advertising networks or social media widgets are embedded. A consent banner is therefore not required.

Fonts

The fonts used on this website are stored on our own server and loaded from there. No connection is made to Google or any other third party, and no IP address is transmitted to anyone else.

Getting in touch

If you contact us by email or telephone, the details you give us are stored so that we can deal with your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The processing serves to carry out pre-contractual steps and to perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or rests on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not pass this data on without your consent. We delete it once the enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods stand in the way.

Digital catalogue

The BELO Workbook can be opened on the home page as a digital page-turning catalogue. It is loaded only after a click — simply opening the home page transmits no data for it. Once opened, the catalogue is fetched from our own domain belo.at, which produces the server logs described above.

Links to other websites

This website links to our online shop beloshop.at, to the dealer shop haendlershop.beloshop.at and to individual product pages. These are plain links — no data is transmitted unless you click them. Those services have privacy policies of their own.

Your rights

You generally have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent once given, and objection to the processing. To exercise them, write to info@belo.at.

If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data protection law, or that your rights under it have been infringed in some other way, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
